In the name of God Amen I Grace Banton of Collumpton in the county of Devon widow doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament being weak of body but of sound and perfect memory blessed be God for it
Imprimus I give and bequeath my soule to Almighty God my Creator hoping in and through the sole meritts of my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to obtaine everlasting salvation and my body to the earth from whence it was taken to be decently buried by my executors hereafter named
Item I give unto William Banton five shillings and to Lewis Banton his son five shillings and to John Banton his son five shillings to be paid in twelve months after my decease Also I gave to Lewis Banton one brass kettle and a brass crock which was formerly his grandmothers
Item I give to Jone Banton my straked rugg and a paire of sheets and two of my petticoates
Item I give to Edith Clarke my caster hatt and my black cloth coate and my stiff coate and my little crock
Item I give to Elizabeth Banton five shillings
Item I give unto Henry Tozer five shillings and to John Tozer five shillings
Item I give unto Elizabeth Clarke five shillings and one pewter dish
Item I give to Elizabeth Banton my little brass kettle
Item I give to Henry Tozer the elder five shillings
The rest of my good debts and creditts I give unto my cosins Thomas Tozer and Daniel Clarke whome I doe make joint executors of this my last Will and Testament desiring them to pay my just debts and legacies and to see my body to be decently buried and I desire my good friend Mr James Hartnoll to be my ruler and overseer and to aide and assist my said executors in the performance of this my will and I doe give and bequeath to the said James Hartnoll five pounds on the account of former paines and care taken for me and for what further paines he may take herein
