Will was proved on 4th January 1814 in the Registry of the Archdeaconry of Exeter to Elizabeth Bilbie of the same, widow Effects sworn under £450
I Thomas Castleman Bilbie of the Parish of Cullompton in the County of Devon Bell founder do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)
I give unto my wife Elizabeth Bilbie all and singular the house and premises in which I now live with all my Goods and Chattells Monies Securities for Monies and all property that I may die possessed of for her separate use so long as she remains a widow
In case she marries it is then my Will the said house and premises be appraised and offered to my son John Bilbie and if he refuses it in such appraisement then the same to be sold by Publick Auction and the amount to be equally divided among my then surviving children and likewise all my Goods Working Tools of what kind soever it being my will that in case my wife marries she forfeits all claim to any part of my property she is to pay all my just debts and pay all interest during the time she enjoys the same on a mortgage now on my said house.
And it is further my Will that whatever share of the sale of the house goods working tools etc may come to my daughter Ann Watson wife of William Watson I give to Joseph Miller of Highbury Grove Islington in the County of Middlesex Merchant in trust for my said daughter Ann Watson wife of William Watson for her separate use and apart from her said husband but solely for her use and benefit not subject to any debts of her said husband.
Lastly it is my Will my said wife Elizabeth Bilbie is to pay my just debts out of the Goods and Chattles that I may die possessed of.
