Proved in the Archdeaconry Court of Exeter 7th Novr 1832
Appeared personally Mary Broom of Cullompton the widow and relict and administratry named in the Testamentary Paper annexed of William Broom deceased who died on the 30th day of April 1832
In the name of God Amen I William Broom of Cullompton in the county of Devon yeoman do you make this my last Will and Testament in my own hand writing in manner and form following (that is to say)
First and last I give and bequeath to my wife Mary Broom all those three closes of lands commonly called Higher Morefields Lower Moorfields and Broadmoor Corner formerly part and parcel of Mutterton Moor
There is now five hundred pounds owed on it to Mr Nehemiah Upcott of Cullompton which she must pay as he holds the deeds as a security
She to have the overplus to maintain and bring up the family but to have nothing to do with them after they arise to the age of twenty one years as I consider they will be able to care for themselves
I do also choose Mr William Martyn of Court in the parish of Bradninch to be her whole and sole trustee he and his executors
In witness whereof I the said William Broom have to this my Will written on a half sheet of paper set my hand and seal this 19 day of Novr in the year of our Lord 1829 W. Broom
Signed sealed published and delivered by Mr William Broom in his own handwriting for his last Will and Testament
