This is the last Will and Testament of me William Brown of Cullompton in the county of Devon, clothier

I give unto my dear niece Rebecca Brown five pounds five shillings to purchase a ring or any other thing she may prefer to keep in remembrance of our mutual affection

All the rest of my property both real and personal I give and bequeath to Isaac Davy of Fordton in the parish of Crediton in the said county merchant whom I hereby nominate and appoint my executor in trust for the sole use and benefit of my dear wife Martha Brown

But in case she should not survive me then I give unto the said Isaac Davy one hundred pounds for his trouble in the execution of this my Will as well as for the esteem and affection I feel for him the remainder I give unto my brother and sisters Richard Brown Francis Brown and Elizabeth Davy and also my nephew and nieces Edward Brown Mary Frank Matthews Elizabeth Brown Harriet Brown and Caroline Brown share and share alike

In witness whereof I have put my hand and seal this twenty ninth day of March one thousand eight hundred and twenty one revoking all former Wills and declaring this to be my last William Brown

On the 10th of September 1824 administration (with the Will annexed) of the goods chattels and credits of William Brown late of Cullompton in the county of Devon Clothier deceased was granted to Richard Brown the natural and lawful brother and one of the next of kin of the said deceased having been first sworn by commission duly to administer Isaac Davy the sole executor and residuary legatee in trust and Martha Brown widow the relic and residuary legatee named in the said Will having respectively renounced as well the probate and execution thereof as letters of administration (with the said Will annexed) of the said deceased
