In the name of God Amen the eighteenthe daie of Auguste in the yeare of our Lord God one thousande five hundred ninetie two I Robert Browne of Prescott in the parishe of Collumpton in the countie of Devon husbandman beinge sicke in bodie but of perfecte minde and memorie thankes be to God doe ordaine and make my last Will and Testament in manner and forme followinge

First I give and bequeath my soule to Allmightie God my onlie maker and redeemer and my bodie to christian buriall.

Item I give and bequeathe to the poore of the parish of Collumpton six shillinges eight pence

Item I give to my daughter Ursula Browne one ewe sheepe

Item I give and bequeathe to Alice my daughter six pounds thirteene shillings fouer pence

Item I give and bequeathe to Joane Mutter one ewe sheepe

Item I give to Barnarde London fouer pounds of lawfull monie of Englande

Item I give to Peter London other fouer pounds

Item I give to John London fouer pounds

Item I give to Christopher London fouer pounds

Item I give to William London fouer pounds

Item I gave to Thomas London fouer pounds

Item I give to Edwarde London fouer pounds of lawfull English monie

Item I ordaine and make Agnes my wiffe my whole executrix of this my last Will to whom I give all the use of my goods chattells and debtes my debtes and legacies paide and funeralls done

Also I ordaine make and requeste Edwarde Colliford and John Manninge to be my rulers and overseers of this my last Will to see the same performed and fulfilled and I give to everie of them or theire paines to be taken about the same six shillinges eight pence

Item I will that my wife’s seaven children aforesaide shall have theire legacies paide them when theie shall be of the age of twentie one yeares and in the meane time their portions to be ymploied by my overseers to the use and benefite of the foresaide children

And if any of the foresaide children shall happen to die before theie accomplishe the full age of twentie one yeares then his or their partes soe beinge deceased shall remaine to the survivors thereafter beinge
