Robert Bussell and Thomas Bussell of Cullompton in the county of Devon, gentleman the executors of John Bussell late of Cullompton aforesaid, sergemaker who died on the sixth day of November 1815

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Bussell of Cullompton in the county of Devon sergemaker as follows vizt.

I give unto my daughter Martha Bussell the sum of eight hundred pounds to be paid her in one year next after my death I also give her my watch and also all my household goods and furniture plate linen and china and all my utensils and implements of household of what kind soever except the two mahogany dining tables in the parlor of my now dwelling house and my clock and case which said tables and clock and case I give unto my son Joseph Bussell who having lately had one thousand pounds from me as what we thought his share or portion of my estate and property is the reason why I give him no more by this my Will the said tables and clock and case to be delivered unto him at the end of one year next after my death

I also give unto my said daughter my dwelling house and tenement called Speeds with the appurtenances for the term of one whole year next after my death she paying all outgoings and keeping the same in good repair and in case any doubts should arise respecting what goods might strictly and properly be called or considered household goods as distinguished from outdoor goods or goods used for other purposes than the house I do hereby direct that the same shall be determined by two indifferent persons to be chosen by the parties

All the rest and residue of my lands tenements and hereditaments real and personal estate goods chattles and effects whatsoever subject to and with the payment of all my debts and legacies I give devise and bequeath unto my two sons Robert Bussell and Thomas Bussell their heirs executors administrators and assigns forever to be equally divided between them share and share alike to take as tenants in common and not as joint tenants

And I do hereby appoint the said Robert Bussell and Thomas Bussell joint and sole executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all and every other Will and Wills by me made and ratifying this alone to be my last

In witness whereof I have to this my said Will set my hand and seal this twenty second day of the eighth month (commonly called August) one thousand eight hundred and fifteen John Bussell

Signed sealed published and declared by the testator John Bussell as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in his presence and at his request and in presence of each other
