Appeared personally Humphrey Blackmore Mills of Cullompton in the county of Devon Paper Manufacturer the son and sole executor named in the last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Dart late of Cullompton aforesaid widow deceased who died on the 12th day of October 1831
This is the last Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Dart of Cullompton in the county of Devon widow made the 6th day of Oct in the year of our Lord 1831
By virtue and in exercise and execution of the power given or reserved to me in and by a certain Indenture of Release of three parts bearing date on or about the 29th day of September in the year 1801 and made between myself then Elizth Mills widow of the first part John Mills of Cullompton aforesaid yeoman my son of the 2nd part and William Blackmore therein named of the 3rd part and of all and every other powers and power enabling me in this behalf I do by this by last Will and Testament in writing sign sealed and published by me in the presence of and attested by three credible witnesses direct limit give and appoint all that messuage and tenement called the Paper Mills situate in Cullompton aforesaid formally part of Kings Mill and all other the freehold lands tenements heredits and prems whereof or over which I have any power of appointment or disposition whatsoever and also all my real estate whatsoever unto and to the use of my son Humphrey Blackmore Mills his heirs and assigns forever
Subject nevertheless to the mortgage thereon and also subject and charged to and with the several legacies or sums of money hereinafter mentd to the several persons hereinafter named to whom respectively I give and appoint the same to be issuing out of the aforsd heredits and prems and to be paid in one year after my death that is to say
To my son John Mills forty pounds to my son James Mills two hundred pounds
To my daurs Elizabeth Blackmore Searle Sarah Frost Rebecca Barker Martha Blackmore and Mary Frost fifty pounds apiece to my daughter Maria Broom sixty pounds and to my grandson John Bath twenty pounds
Also I give all my clothes and wearing apparel to my six daurs to be divided between them one month after my death
All the residue and remainder of my personal estate subject to my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses I give and bequeath to my son Humphrey Blackmore Mills whom I appoint sole executor of this my last Will and Testament
And I hereby revoke all former Wills and Testamentary dispositions by me made
In witness whereof I have here to set my hand and seal the day and year first above written
Signed sealed and published by the sd Elizabeth Dart the Testatrix as and to be her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who who have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other
