A briefe Declaration made by me Richard Deeve of Collompton esquire of certaine legacies which I doe give after my decease unto certaine persons hereafter named in case I should dye before I have made a will or other assurances as by advice I desire it should be done if need soe requires
Imprimis I doe hereby give and bequeath until Elizabeth the daughter of Roger Deve my sonne and heire deceased six hundred pounds to be paid unto her the said Elizabeth Deve within one yeare after Richard Deve the sonne and heire of the said Roger shall accomplish the age of two and twentie yeares and for the payment of the other summes hereafter mentioned according to the same limittation of time
Item I doe give and bequeath unto Dorothie the daughter of Robert Cockeram of Collompton gent one hundred pounds
Item I doe further give and bequeath unto the said Dorothie Cockeram if Richard Deve the sonne of the said Roger Deve dye without issue of his bodie lawfullie begotten the sum of fouer hundred pounds more
Item I doe give unto Robert Cockeram the sonne of the said Robert Cockeram twentie poundes
Item I do give and bequeath unto David Deve the sonne of Arthur Deve of Newton St Petrocke gent the sum of twentie pounds
Item I doe give and bequeath unto Humfrey Deve the sonne of the said Arthur Deve the sum of twentie pounds towards the renewing of the estate which I and my assigns now have in being in a tenement in Broadwoodwiger
Item I doe make and ordaine Robert Cockeram of Collompton aforesaid gent my executor to pay and cause to be paid or my honest debts and likewise to see these legacies before mentioned to be satisfied according to this my will and intention
Item I doe give unto the said Richard Deve the sonne of the said Roger Deve my silver bason and [ ] and my signett or seale of armes and all my good bedding household stuffe and all other implements which are in the [ ] and his mother to have the use of them during her widdowhood Richd Deve Witness by Tristaham Lane
Item I doe give and bequeath and to Mary Burkpitt five pounds
Item I doe give to Tristham Lane fortie shillings
Item I do give to all the residue of such servants as shall be in service dwelling in the house of the said Robert Cockeram senr at the time of my death tenn shillings apiece
All ye legacies last named my will is should be paid within one whole yeare after my decease
