Executor James Wescott of Cullompton in the county of Devon, carpenter named in the last Will and Testament of Thomas Pyle Ellicott late of the same place butcher who died in the month of October now past
This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Pyle Ellicott of Cullompton in the county of Devon butcher made the sixth day of February one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven
I give unto my sons Thomas William and Robert Ellicott a bed each
I give to my daughter Jemima Wescott the sum of one hundred pounds with all my household goods
I give unto my said son Robert the sum of sixty pounds
I give unto my son Joseph Ellicott the sum of seventy pounds
I give unto my son John the sum of thirty pounds due from him to me on a note of hand
I give to Richard Gale Ellicott the sum of ten pounds
I give to my daughter Mary King five shillings
All which said legacies I direct shall be paid by my executor hereinafter named
All the rest and residue of my estate of whatsoever kind not before disposed of my debts funeral and testamentary expenses being first paid I give and bequeath unto my son-in-law James Wescott his exors admors and assigns
Upon trust as soon as may be after my decease to call in and receive all such monies as shall be owing to me at my death and divide the same equally between my four children namely Henry Ellicott Thomas Ellicott William Ellicott and Sarah Fry
And I appoint the said James Wescott sole executor of this my Will which I declare to be my last
In witness whereof I the said Thomas Pyle Ellicott have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year aforesaid
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Thomas Pyle Ellicott the testator as and for his last Will and Testament the same being first read over to him in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses
