Proved in the Registry of the Archdeaconry of Exeter the 14th of January 1814
Executor Samuel Fry of same, son
I Samuel Fry of Cullompton in the county of Devon declare this to be my last Will and Testament
1st I give and bequeath the house in which I now live to my wife during her natural life with household goods therein for her use during the same period
2nd I also gave for her use the interest of all monies which I may be possessed of at the time of my decease and only the interest which it is my will should be secured for her by my executor hereinafter mentioned in the best manner he is capable of
3rd I further will that at and upon the death of my wife that my household goods (with the exception of the best feather bed upon which I now lie which I give to my daughter Ann) to be equally divided between my children
Also the whole of my property to be thus equally divided between them with this reservation that my son Samuel do take my dwelling house in the sum of twenty pounds which some shall be deducted out of his portion of what property comes to his share upon the death of his mother when the whole of the same be divided among my children in the manner aforesaid
And furthermore that if either of my children shall die before their mother that his her or their share or shares of my property shall be equally divided among such of their legitimate children as they may have respectively behind them upon such children coming to the age of twenty one years
But if any of my children die without issue then their respective shares to be divided among and go to the survivors of them
I also appoint my son Samuel to be the executor of this my last Will and Testament dated and signed this 24th day of April 1806 The mark of Samuel Fry
