Proved on the 11th November 1854 in the Principal Registry of the Lord Bishop of Exeter

Appeared personally Sarah Jarman of Cullompton in the county of Devon widow the executrix according to the tenor of the last Will and Testament of Elias Jarman late of Cullompton aforesaid builder who died on the 22nd day of August 1854

In the name of God Amen I Elias Jarman of the parish of Cullompton builder in the county of Devon being of perfect health of mind and memory of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say

Principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul unto the hand of Almighty God who gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my dear wife and children nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the almighty power of God

As what it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give devise and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Sarah Jarman the whole I die possessed of all and singular the whole of my property after paying my just debts if there is sufficient and the same not to be paid until twelve months after my decease

And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disanul all and every former Testament Wills or Legacies and executed by me before in any wise named willed and bequeath ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this [ ] day of August 1854

Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Elias Jarman as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us and in the presence of each other and his presence have hereunto subscribed our names
