In the name of God Amen I Henry Lugg of Collompton in the county of Devon yeoman being sicke of body but of perfect memorie thanks be to God for the same doe sett and ordaine this my last Will and Testament
I render my soule to the hands of Almightie God and my bodie I committ to the Christian buriall when that it shall please God to call me out of this mortall life
First Item I give unto the poore of Collompton to be paid by my executrix hereafter mentioned to be distributed seavem shillings
Item I give unto the poore of Clisthydon to be paid by my executrix to be distributed three shillings and foure pence
Item I give and bequeath to my sister Thomsin Mory forty shillings
Item I give unto Battrice Sannders tenn shillings
Item I give unto Grace Sannders my goddaughter twenty shillings
Item I give unto Ann Freebell which was mine apprentice fifteene shillings and six pence besides the foure shillings and sixpence which I acknowledge I have of her monies in my hand to be paid unto she by my executris when the terme of her apprenticeship shall be expired
Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Hugo the wife of Stephen Hugo three pounds
I give unto Peter Lugg seaventeen pounds
Item I give unto Willmott Lugg seaventeen pounds
Item I give unto Elizabeth Lugg seaventeen pounds
Item I give unto Robert Lugg seaventeen pounds of good and lawful monie of England to be paid by my Rulers hereafter mentioned
But my minde and will of this my last Will and Testament that my executrix hereafter mentioned shall make good unto my Rulers within one month after my decease the aforesaid summe and summes above given hereafter mentioned
And my minde and will is that my executrix mentioned which that is Susanna now my wife is to have the interest of the aforesaid summe and summes of monie soe long as she shall happen to live
Now in case is that if my executrix hereafter mentioned should happen to die my minde and will is that Elizabeth Hugo the mother of the aforesaid children shall have the interest of the aforesaid summes of money untill the said children doe come to the age of one and twenty yeares but if it shall happen that the aforesaid children or either of them shall happen to die until they come to the age of one and twenty years my minde and will is that it shall remaine equally to them that are liveing of the survivors
Item I doe give unto my brother John Lugg one payre of breeches one doublett one short coate one hatt and one long coate
All my worldly goods not above given I doe bequeath and give unto Susanna Lugg my wife and doth make her my whole and sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament but my minde and will is that whatsoever worldly goods that my wife Susanna have left within doore and as well without my minde and will is that it shall be equally divided by my Rulers hereafter mentioned among the aforesaid fouer children
And I doe desire and apoynte you Peter Moxey the elder of Thorverton in the countie of Devon yeoman to be a Ruler in trust of this my last Will and Testament for Peter Lugg and Robert Lugg the summe of seaventeen pounds apiece and my mind and will is that the said Peter Moxey shall pay yearely unto my executrix above mentioned the interest of the summe of thirtie fouer pounds within one yeare after he doth receive the aforesaid summes of monies into his custody as above mentioned
And I doe desire and appoynte you Thomas Fursdon of the same parish and county aforesaid yeoman to be a Ruler in trust for Wilmott Lugg and Elizabeth Lugg my grandchildren the summe of seaventeen pounds apiece and my mind and will is that the said Thomas Fursdon shall pay yearly unto my said executrix above mentioned the interest of the summe of thirtie fouer pounds within one yeare after he doth receive the aforesaid summe of monie into his custodi as above mentioned
And I doe give unto my said Rulers five shillings apiece to be paid by my executrix
In witness whereof I the said Henry Lugg have hereunto sett my hand and seales the thirtieth day of August in the yeare of our Lord God according to the computation of the Church of England one thousand six hundred fiftie and eight

Memorandum my minde and will is before the sealing and the delivering hereof none of the said children shall take upp none of the aforesaid monies within mentioned for long as she liveth which is my executrix within mentioned

This Will was proved att London the first day of the month of December in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred fiftie and eight before the Judges for Probate of Wills and granting Administrations lawfully authorized by the oath of Susanna Lugg the relict and sole and only executrix named in the last Will and Testament of the deceased to whome administration of all and singular the goods chattells and debts of the said deceased was granted and committed she being first legally sworn by virtue of a commission truly and faythfully to administer the same
