This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary Frank Matthews wife of William Matthews of Cullompton gentleman made this eighth day of December one thousand eight hundred and fifty one
I give and bequeath the following legacy to my son Richard Brown Matthews clerk Rector of Widworthy in the county of Devon the sum of four hundred pounds for his own use absolutely and I hereby direct that the said legacy hereinbefore mentioned shall be paid to my said son as soon after my decease as my executor has funds in hand for that purpose
And all the rest residue and remainder of all my real and personal estate and effects whatsoever over which I have any power of appointment I give devise and bequeath unto my husband William Matthews for his sole use and benefit absolutely and I hereby appoint my husband the said William Matthews executor of this my Will and hereby revoke all former or other wills by me at any time made
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand the day and the year first above written

Signed by the above named Mary Frank Matthews as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

On the 7th day of August 1854 admon with the Will annexed of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of Mary Frank Matthews wife of William Matthews late of Cullompton in the county of Devon deceased was granted to the said William Matthews the sole executor named in the said Will and also as the lawful husband of the said deceased the sole person entitled to her personal estate and effects over which she had disposing power and concerning which she is dead intestate having been sworn by commission duly to administer
