In the name of God Amen I Henry Norman of the parish of Cullompton in the countie of Devon being sicke and weake in bodie but of perfect memorie blessed be God doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (videlicet)
First I give upp my soule to God who gave it through Jesus Christ my Redeemer and my bodie to be buried decently in the parish churchyard of Collumpton
Item I give to William Norman my oldest sonne five shillings
Item I give to Martin Norman my second sonn five shillings
Item I give to Henry Norman my third sonne five shillings
Item I give to John Norman my fourth sonne five shillings all which legacies thus given and bequeathed to my sonnes to be paid within one yeare after my decease
Item I give to Elizabeth Norman my oldest daughter five shillings
Item I give to Mary Justin my second daughter five shillings which is also to be paid within one yeare after my decease
Item I give to Agnes Norman my wife all my goods within doors and without whome I doe make my whole and alone executrix of this my last Will and Testament
Also I do nominate and appoynte John Blackmore and Thomas Gatchell both of Cullumpton to be Rulers in trust of this my Will for which I doe give them twelve pence apiece
In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the twentie one of April one thousand six hundred fiftie six the mark of Henry Norman
in the presence of these witnesses Edward Ruant Tho Gatchell
This Will was proved at London the first day of May in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred fiftie and seaven before the Judges for Probate of Wills and granting Administrations lawfully authorized by the oath of Agnes Norman the relict and sole and only executrix named in the above written Will to whome administration of all and singular the goods chattells and debts of the said deceased was granted and committed she being first legally sworne by virtue of a commission truly and faythfully to administer the same
