In the name of God Amen I William Page of Colompton of perfect memorie doe make this my last Will and Testament
First I bequeathe my soule unto Allmightie God and my boddie to be buried in the churche of Colompton in the aisle where Mr. More was buried
First I will that Broke choppen place and Eystlande remeyne immediatelie after my death to Marie my daughter and if she be married to remeyne to her husband and to her children during the terme
And if she dye before she be married then I will that all the saide landes and leases to remeyne to Agnis my wief and to her assigne and assignes and she to pay out of this yerelie to Alice Brooks fyve poundes by the yere and three poundes sixe shillings eighte pence by the yere unto Simon Tucker my mann as longe as the lease dothe laste if he lives so long
More I will to be paide unto yerelie fiftie shillings to Alice Brooks the younger brothers and sisters and the eldest sonne John to have no parte thereof theise children to have it duringe the terme
More I will that after my debtes beinge paide that myne executor shall paye unto the children that were begotten of my [ ] [benekan] of Bickley fyve poundes in money the which was my mother’s brother
Further I will that my wief shall have all suche summe and summes of money as I have reserved by her which is two hundrede poundes as it dothe partilie specifie uppon my books which suche other things as is not in my book the which Mrs Rainford doth partilie knowe
Further I will that my wief to have all her apperrell and all her jewells and I will also my two beddes that I lye on and one of my beste coverletts with three pare of blanketts and three pares of sheetes and two of my best quiltes withe three bolsters three pillowes of downe and my bedsteade and the cover thereof gylded that I lye on
More I will half a dozen of disshes performed that is to saye half a dozen platters half a dozen porringers and half a dozen of saucers more I will she to have a dozen of my silver spoones next unto the best and one standinge cupp next onto the best and my littel cupp of silver that was Thomas Trokes
And further I will that she has all suche lands as I have made unto her in dower duringe her lief and after her to my daughter Marie if the terme dure so longe and so my free land to remeine unto her duringe her lief
And allso I will that my house I dwell in duringe my terme to Agnis my wief payinge the rente
The residue of my gooddes and landes I give to my daughter Marie my debts beinge payde I make her my holl executrix
Yf it happen Marie to dye without yssue that then the saide lande shall remeyne unto Alice Brook that lyethe in Payehemberay and the reste of my free lande beinge in Colompton I gyve unto John Troke my sonne in lawe
Yf the said John dye without yssue that then the saide lande to remeyne unto Humfrey Ascotte the sonne of Agnis my wief and his heires
Yf it happen the said Humfrey to dye without yssue that then the said lande to remeyne unto the heires of [ ] of Bickley being my [ ] beinge my mothers younger brother
This beinge my last Will made the fyve and twentith of Julie in the yere of our Lord God a thousande fyve hundred three score and sixe aforenamed
I make my overseers Mr Nicholas Waddam Gregorie Grede Mr. William Fosken Robert Warrin and Agnis my wife
By me William Page this is my last Will and Testament in the presence of John Bale John [ ]rubbish Simon Tucker with others
