I Lydia Pasmore of Cullumpton in the county of Devon widow domake and appoint this to be my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say
First I give to Mrs Lydia Manning the wife of the Reverend Mr Henry Manning my flowered tabby nightgown and the double ruffles apron and handkerchief which I usually wear with it
I give to the said Mrs Lydia Manning the use of my wrought bed and silk quilt thereto belonging to Lydia Manning during the term of her natural life and after her decease I give the said wrought bed and silk quilt thereto belonging to Lydia Manning the daughter of the Revd Mr Henry Manning
Also I give to Lydia Manning the daughter of the Reverend Mr Henry Manning five pounds Also I give her my chest of drawers in her father’s house
Also I give to the Revd Mr Henry Manning the elder a book entitled The Demonstration of a Saviour now in his custody
Also I give to the Revd Mr Henry Manning the younger my larger Bible
Also I give to Mrs Manning the wife of the Revd Mr Henry Manning the younger one guinea
Also I give the remainder of my goods and effects (except what is before given) which is in the house of the Revd Mr Henry Manning the elder to be equally divided between the three children of the aforesaid Mr Henry Manning after the decease of Mrs Lydia Manning his wife
Also I give to Mr Thomas Gilbert of Tiverton Surgeon half a guinea
Also I give to my niece Margaret Gilbert my white satin nightgown apron ruffles and mobb that she bought for me at London or the best apron ruffles and mobb in my custody if the former are not suitable
Also I give to my nephews William Heathfield son of my brother Heathfield half a guinea and to his brother Richard half a guinea
Also I give to my nephew Matthew Heathfield a diamond ring but and if the said Matthew Heathfield dies unmarried then the said diamond ring shall be returned to either one of the family of the said Matthew Heathfield whom him shall think proper
Also I give to Susanna Finnimore the wife of Samuel Finnemore of Cullumpton aforesaid the sum of fifteen pounds
Also I give to the Revd Mr Thomas Manning of Cullumpton one guinea
Also I give to Susanna Heathfield the daughter of Anthony Heathfield my chest drawers in my house
Also I give to Anthony Heathfield the son of the late Anthony Heathfield half a guinea
Also I give to Nicholas Nodder of Tiverton half a guinea and half a guinea to each of his sons Joseph and John but their father’s receipt shall be a sufficient discharge for the said money
Also I give to Abraham Endicott of Cullumpton half a guinea
Also I give to Abraham Endicott junr of Cullumpton aforesaid half a guinea
Also I give and devise unto my nephew Thomas Heathfield of Cullumpton all them messuages and tenements with the appurtenances formerly Turners and Blackallers situate in New Street near the Quakers Burying Yard in Cullumpton aforesaid which are in mortgage to me
Also I give to Lydia Heathfield the daughter of my nephew Thomas Heathfield of Cullumpton aforesaid the sum of forty pounds
Also I give to the said Lydia Heathfield that diamond ring with a green stone in it also a green damask gown and best quilted coat also a black silk coat hemmed with ermine
Also I give to Elizabeth Anthony Thomas William Richard and John Heathfield the children of my nephew Thomas Heathfield the sum of five pounds to each of them when they shall severally attain the age of twenty one years and if either of them should happen to die under the age of twenty one years the legacy or legacies so given shall be equally divided between the survivors of them when they severely attain the age of twenty one years
Also all my wearing apparel both woolen and linen (not before disposed of) I give as follows that is to say the one half share I give to Susanna Finnimore the other half share I give to Lydia Heathfield the daughter of my nephew Thomas Heathfield of Cullumpton aforesaid
Also I further direct that the aforesaid money legacies and all the other gifts or legacies herein mentioned to be paid and delivered and also all my debts funeral expenses to be paid by my executor hereinafter named in six months next after my decease except what is otherwise appointed
Also I give and devise into my nephew Thomas Heathfield of Cullumpton aforesaid all that messuage or fields of land commonly known or called by the name of Broom Hills situate in Cullumpton aforesaid now in the possession of William Criddle as undertenant and also a field of land situated near Norths house in Cullumpton aforesaid now in the possession of William Voisey as undertenant with all its appurtenances to hold onto the said Thomas Heathfield his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever
Also my further will is I give all the rest and residue of my lands goods chattels hereditaments real and personal estate credits and effects what and wheresoever (not before given) I give and devise unto my nephew Thomas Heathfield of Cullumpton aforesaid whom I make whole and sole executor of this my last Will and Testament revoking all and every other Will or Wills by me heretofore made and confirm this to be my last
In witness whereof I the said Lydia Pasmore have to this my last Will and Testament written on three sheets of paper set my hand and seal this fourth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty six

This writing contained on three sheets of paper affixed together was signed sealed published and declared by the above said Lydia Pasmore as for her last Will and Testament and her name was by her set to each of the said three sheets in the presence of us three who have subscribed our name as witnesses to the due execution thereof in the presence of the said Lydia Pasmore and of each other of us

This Will was proved at London on the eighth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty five before the Right Worshipful Peter Calvert Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Thomas Heathfield the sole executor named in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattells and credits of the said deceased he having been first sworn by commission duly to administer
