I Robert Pitt of the parish of Cullompton in the county of Devon do hereby constitute and appoint this my last Will and Testament that is to say
I give and bequeath to my wife the sum of eighty pounds a year during her life for her and my daughter ffrances Pitt but if my said wife shall die before my said daughter then I give the sum of forty pounds a year for the care and maintenance of my said daughter to either of my sons she would like to reside with
I give to my son John Pitt all that estate called Woodcockswell in the parish of Cullompton in the county of Devon to him and his heirs or assigns for ever
I give to my son Robert Pitt all that my estate called Matthews and Holliers situate at East Butterley in the parish of Cullompton in the county of Devon to him and his heirs or assigns for ever
I give to my son Thomas Pitt all that estate called Pitt or Uobornford in the parish of Holberton in the county of Devon to him and then and his heirs or assigns for ever
I give to my son William Pitt all that messuage tenement and dwelling house called The New Inn in Butterley in the county of Devon to him and his heirs or issues for ever
And whereas the late John Cross of Bickley by his Will did give to Thomas Harris Jane Harris his wife Mary Harris their daughter all that real estate called the Penn situate at Cheriton Fitzpayne in the county of Devon for their life interest and after their decease then to me or my heirs or assigns for ever which said estate called Penn I give to my four sons share and share alike but if either of my son should die before it becomes their property then I give it to such son or sons that are living at that time
And I further order that the aforesaid sum of eighty pounds a year shall be paid out of my aforesaid estates called Woodcockswell Matthews and Holliers Pitt and Uobonford and all that messuage tenement and dwelling house called the New Inn by my aforesaid sons twenty pounds each to my aforesaid wife during her life and after her decease such said estates are chargeable with forty pounds a year for the care and maintenance of my daughter ffrances Pitt and also my just debts and funeral expenses as aforesaid
And I do constitute ordain and appoint John Pitt my oldest son whole and sole executor to this my last Will and Testament paying himself all reasonable expenses attending such executorship
In witness whereof I the said Robert Pitt have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this twentieth day of June one thousand eight hundred and thirty one
