Proved 20th March 1856 in the Archdeaconry Court of Exeter
Appeared personally Robert Wills of Cullompton in the county of Devon tallow chandler the sole executor named in the last Will and Testament of Hannah Salter late of Cullompton aforesaid widow who died on the 29th day of February 1856
This is the last Will and Testament of me Hannah Salter of Cullompton in the county of Devon widow which I publish and declare as follows
I give and bequeath unto my daughters Eliza Marshall the wife of Richard Marshall and Sophia Wills the wife of Robert Wills all my stock and utensils in trade as an innkeeper and all my goods chattels and effects monies and securities for money whatsoever and wheresoever which I shall die possessed of in equal shares subject to the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses
And I direct my executor hereinafter named as soon as possible after my decease to call in all monies due to me and collect in all debts and to divide the said stock in trade goods chattels monies and effects equally between my said daughters share and share alike subject to the aforesaid payments
And I hereby declare that the legacies so given my said daughters are for their and each of their sole and separate use free from the debts control or engagement of either of their husbands and that their receipts above of my said daughters for all monies paid them shall be a sufficient discharge for my executor
But if it happen my said daughters cannot agree as to the division of my property it is my will that my said executor do sell and dispose of the same and the money realized thereby after payments of all expenses to be equally divided in all respects as aforesaid between my said daughters
And I appoint the said Robert Wills sole executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this third day of November one thousand eight hundred and fifty one Hannah Salter
Signed by the said testatrix in the presence of us present at the same time who in her presence and at her request have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses the word “October” being first erased and the word “November” being first inserted instead
