In the name of God Amen I William Selleck of Collumpton in the county of Devon gentleman do make and appoint this to be my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)
I give and device unto Wm Gill of Honiton in the said county of Devon gentleman and Joseph Ellis of Bradninch in the said county sergemaker and to their heirs and assigns forever all the mannors tyths messuages lands tenements and hereditaments whereof I am or any in trust for me is seized of any estate of inheritance and the reversion and reversions thereof and of every part thereof
And I also give to them and to their executors and assigns all my goods chattels debts leasehold estates securities for money and all other my personal and testamentary estate of what nature or kind soever
Upon trust nevertheless that they the said William Gill and Joseph Ellis or the survivor of them his heirs executors or assigns do with all convenient speed sell and dispose of the said mannors tyths messuages lands tenements and hereditaments and also my said goods chattels leasehold estates personal and testamentary estate to the best purchaser or purchasers can be got therefore and do collect in and receive the debts due to me
And do out of the money arising thereby in the first place reimburse themselves for all the trouble costs and charges they or either of them shall be at about the promises and do in the next place pay and satisfy all the debts by me due or owing either by speciality or on simple contract or otherwise
And do afterwards distribute and divide the residue and remainder of the money or other effects arising thereby unto and amongst all any or either of my five children in such manner and form and in such parts and shares as to the said trustees or the survivor of them his executors or assigns shall seem meet it being my true intent and meaning that such distribution shall be absolutely in the power and discretion of my said trustees and that they or the survivor of them his executors or assigns may exclude any or either of my said children from all benefit thereof so as the same be disposed of to one or more of them
And I further direct that one of the said trustees shall not be accountable for the acts receipts or payments of the other of them and that they or the survivor of them his executors or assigns shall have power to alter any security for money and to lend any money out at interest in trust as aforesaid without being answerable for any loss or insufficient security that may happen by means thereof
