Will of Stephen Shute late of Cullompton

This is the last Will and Testament of me Stephen Shute of Collumpton in the county of Devon esquire

I give and devise to Stephen Shute my nephew of Crediton in the county of Devon and to his heirs and assigns a moiety of the moiety that was given or devised to me by my late uncle Thomas Dean

I give and devise unto and amongst my nephew and nieces in equal shares the estate called Padbrook in the occupation of Anthony Hewit but this bequest or devise I limit to my nephews and nieces resident at Crediton being the brothers and sisters or sisters of my above mentioned nephew Stephen Shute

As to all my other estate and effects I give and bequeath the same in equal shares unto and between all my nephews and nieces generally and I appoint my said nephew Stephen Shute of Crediton residuary devisee and sole executor of this my Will

In witness whereon I the said Stephen Shute the testator have this second day of February 1824 set my hand and seal

Signed sealed published and declared by the said testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and also in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto the obliterations in the third and fifth line from the top being first made

Proved at London 12th of February 1824 before the worshipful John Daubany Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of Stephen Shute the nephew the sole executor to whom administration was granted being first sworn duly to administer
