In the name of God Amen Anno 1571 the second daie of August I Robert Smyth of the parishe of Culmpton baker in my pfitt memorie make this my Testament and Will as followeth
First I give and bequeath my soule to Jesus Christ my saviour and redeemer and my bodie to the earthe
Item to the reparations of the churche at Culmpton xxd
Item to the poore in almes xxd
Item to my sonne Walter Smith xlb
Also I doe ordain and make to be my rulers and overseers of this my Testament and Will John Landon at Axminster and Walter Smith of Crekern my brother whom they to have for their laboure and paines ijs vid apiece
The residue of my goods I give and bequeath to Thomazen Smith my wyffe whome I ordaine and make to be myne executrix
