This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann Sydenham of Cullompton in the county of Devon spinster
I give and bequeath unto ffrances Sydenham Margaret Sydenham and Mary Sydenham daughters of the late Reverend John Sydenham all that my messuage dwelling house and garden with the appurts in Cullompton aforesaid in the occupation of Mr Wolland to hold the same to the said fffances Sydenham Margaret Sydenham and Mary Sydenham for the term of their natural lives and the life of the longest lives provided they remain single and unmarried and as and when either of them shall marry then I give devise and bequeath the part and share of her so marrying of and in the said heridits and premises unto the other or others of them who shall then be single and unmarried
And from and after the deaths of the survivor of them or the day of marriage of the one who shall be last married whichever shall first happen I give devise and bequeath the said messuage dwelling house and garden with the appurts unto the Reverend John Phillip Sydenham his heirs and assigns forever
I give and bequeath the several legacies following named
Unto Dorothy Scott Sydenham now or lately residing in London with Mr William Nobes the sum of two hundred pounds
Unto Catherine the wife of the said William Nobes the sum of one hundred pounds
Unto each of them the said ffrances Margaret and Mary Sydenham the sum of four hundred pounds
Unto Frederick Granger of the city of Exeter Doctor of Physic the sum of one hundred pounds and Sarah Clarke daur of Humphrey Sydenham deceased now residing in London the sum of one hundred pounds
Unto Ann Rull of Millhead in the county of Somerset the sum of one hundred and ten pounds and Eleanor Wedon late Eleanor Ball wife of Mr Wedon of London the sum of fifty pounds
Unto Sarah widow of the late Richard Cross of Duryard near Exeter the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds
Unto William Marshall of Exeter the sum of fifty pounds
Unto ffrances widow of the said Revd John Sydenham the sum of one hundred pounds
Unto Sarah widow of the late Revd Thomas Marshall of Bow in the said county of Devon the sum of twenty pounds
Unto Ann Williams of Uffculme late Ann Manley the sum of twenty pounds
Unto Thomas Granger of Exeter merchant the sum of ten pounds for a ring or other memorial of me
Unto the wife of the said Thomas Granger the sum of ten pounds for the like purpose
Unto ffrances Mackenzie and Mary Ann Mackenzie of Teignmouth in the said county of Devon each the sum of five guineas for the like purpose
I give and bequeath unto Sarah daughter of the late Charles Marshall of Barnstaple deceased the annual sum of twenty pounds during her life payable half yearly and the first half yearly payment thereof to be made at the expiration of six calendar months next after my decease and I charge the same annuity on the residue of my estate and effects hereinafter devised and bequeathed
I give unto Henry Ball esqr barrister at law the sum of fifty pounds and unto Harriet Ball his sister the sum of fifty pounds
I give and bequeath unto the said Sarah Marshall daughter of Charles Marshall my silver teapot
I give and bequeath the remainder of my silver plate and plates articles and all my household goods and furniture linen and also all my wearing apparel unto the said ffrances Sydenham Margaret Sydenham and Mary Sydenham daughters of the said John Sydenham equally between them
All the rest residue and remainder of my estate and effects of what nature or kind soever subject to the payment of the said annuity or annual sum of twenty pounds to the said Sarah Marshall during her life and to the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses I give device and bequeath unto the said John Philip Sydenham his heirs and assigns forever and I hereby nominate and appoint him the said John Philip Sydenham sole executor of this my Will and I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me at any time made
In witness whereof I the said Ann Sydenham the testatrix have to this my Will contained in two sheets of paper set by hand to the first sheet and my hand and seal to this second and last sheet this thirty first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Ann Sydenham the testatrix as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto
