In the name of God Amen
The one and twentyth day of July in the fifteenth yeare of the reigne of our sovereigne Lord Charles by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith etc. Anno Dom one thousand six hundred twenty and nyne I Mandlyn Thomas of Collompton in the county of Devon widowe beeing well stricken in yeares subject to my mortallytie and of death uncertaine but of good and perfect and sound in mind God bee praysed doe make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and forme following
First I commend my soule into the hands of Almighty God my maker hopeing assuredly through the only merits of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer to be made [ ] of lyfe everlasting And I commend my body to the earth to to Christian buriall and to be buryed in the churchyard of Collumpton aforesaid by the syde of John Thomas deceased my late husband
Imprimus I give and bequeath unto John Thomas my sonne in law two shillings and six pence
Item I give and bequeath to my daughter in law Isaarke Markes the wyfe of Richard Markes of Collumpton aforesaid two shillings and sixpence
Item I give and bequeath to John Markes the sonne of the sayd Richard and Isaarke Markes the sum of five shillings
All the residue of my goodes and chattells not before given and bequeathed I give and bequeath unto Mary Thomas my daughter whom I doe make my whole and sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament and to pay these my legacies and funerall expenses revoking all former Wills and legacies and bequeathes for ever
And I doe request my neighbour Thomas Baker of Ponsford William [ ] of the towne of Collumpton to bee my overseers to see this my will to be performed accordingly and I doe give to each of them for and towards their paynes taking therein three shillings and foure pence apiece
