In the name of God Amen the seaventh daie of February in the fifth yeare of the raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles by the grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland king defender of the faith etc one thousand six hundred twentie nine I Thomas Trock of Collumpton in the countie of Devon merchant being sicke of bodie but thanks bee to God in good memorie at this present doe make and ordaine my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (vizt)

First I give and bequeath my soule to Allmightie God and my bodie to the earth to Christian buriall in the parish church of Collompton

Item that whereas there is a certaine deed made and confirmed by me they said Thomas Trock unto Grace Girde the daughter of Henry Girde late of Collumpton deceased for and concerninge the estate and interest of my house tenement and apurtenances to the same belonginge I give and bequeath the same estate and interest unto the said Grace Girde my kinswoman

Item I give and bequeath unto Ann Clarke my sister the wife of Thomas Clarke the summe of twentie pounds sterlinge to bee paid at or within sixe months next after my decease

Item to Alice Clark the daughter of Thomas Clarke I give and bequeath the summe of ten pounds sterling to bee paid her at or within five yeares after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Clarke and to Ann Clarke the daughters of Thomas Clarke to each of them five pounds sterling apiece to bee paid when they are in yeares able to give sufficient discharge for the same

Item I give and devise unto Thomas Clarke the younger the sonne of Thomas Clarke the elder all the estate and interest of and in one tenement outhouses garden and apurtenances wherein sometyme dwelt John Haddon whensoever it shall fall together with the said deed which I the said Thomas Troke have of and for the premisses.

And if he the said Thomas Clarke shall happen to die before the tyme doe fall in hand that then I give and bequeath the said premises to my executrix of this my last Will and Testament

Item I give and bequeath unto Joyce Girde the daughter of Rebecka Girde my sister the summe of ten pounds sterlinge to bee paid at or within five yeares next after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto the poore of Collumpton ten shillings

All the residue of my goods and chattells not before given and bequeathed I give and bequeath unto Grace Girde aforesaid whom I doe make my whole and sole executrix to paye my debts and legacies and all duties for and concerninge my funerall

And I doe request and appoint my cosen Thomas Atkins and William Fowler of Collumpton to bee my overseers to see this my Will to bee performed accordinglie and I doe give and bequeath to each of them towards theire paines takeinge herein tenn shillings apiece
