Ann Gale the wife of Thomas Gale of the City of Exeter, painter the executrix named in the last Will and Testament of Ann Waldron late of Cullompton in the county of Devon spinster who died on the second day of September last
In the name of God Amen July 21st 1824 I Ann Waldron of the parish of Cullompton spinster being of sound mind and memory thanks the given unto God knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to die do you make and ordain this my last Will and Testament (that is to say)
Principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul unto the hands of almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executrix hereinafter named
And as touching my worldly goods wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form
First I give and bequeath to my nephew William Waldron the sum of twenty pounds of lawful money of England five pounds to be paid the day of my funeral and fifteen pounds to be paid one year after my decease
Also I give and bequeath to the children of my niece Ann Gale the sum of ten pounds to be equally divided between them and to be paid when they are individually at the age of twenty one years that is to say Sarah Gale Eliza Gale Elizabeth Gale Emma Gale and Henry Courtney Gale
Also I give and bequeath to my niece Elizabeth Westcombe the sum of ten pounds to be paid one year after my decease if she does not make any demand on my niece Ann Gale whom I constitute make and ordain my sole executrix of this my last Will and Testament
And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former Wills and Testaments legacies bequests and executors by me in any ways before named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and year first above written
