Proved in the Registry of the Archdeaconry Court of Exeter the 17th March 1817
Executor Thomas Wescomb of Cullompton in the county of Devon, cordwainer the brother and sole executor named in the last Will and Testament of Rachel Wescomb late of Cullompton aforesaid spinster deceased who died on 3rd day of September 1816
This is the last Will and Testament of me Rachel Wescomb of Cullompton in the county of Devon spinster
I give unto my niece Elizabeth Silby ten pounds to be paid her within six months after my death
All the rest and residue of my lands and tenements and hereditaments real and personal estate goods chattles and all other my effects whatsoever and of what nature or quality soever (subject to the payment of my debts) I give devise and bequeath unto my brother Thomas Wescomb to hold the same unto my said brother his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever
And I do hereby make constitute and appoint the said Thomas Wescomb sole executor of this my last Will and Testament and hereby revoke and make void all and every other Will and Wills at any time heretofore by me made and ratify and confirm this alone to be my only true last Will and Testament
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine Rachel Wescomb
Signed sealed published and declared by the testatrix Rachel Westcombe as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other
