Memorandum
That on or about the three and twentieth day of March in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred fiftie and five Christopher Wood of Collumpton in the countie of Devon gentleman deceased being of sound and perfect minde and memorie with a full intent and purpose to settle his estate and to make his will noncupative did say and declare in manner following in the presence of credible witnesses whose names are subscribed
Imprimus I give to my two sonnes John and Jacob twentie shillings apiece and I give one of my cloakes to the said John and the other to my sonne Jacob
Item I give to my said sonnes all my bookes to be equally divided betweene them
Item I give to my grandchild Mary daughter of my sonne John two shillings and sixpence
And all the residue of my goods estates and debts I leave give and bequeath to my wife Grace which said words or the same like them in effect were uttered and declared by they said Christopher in the presence of us testimonie

The six and twentieth day of the month of April in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred fiftie and six before the Judges for Probate of Wills and granting Administrations lawfully authorized letters of administration issued forth to Grace Wood the relict and residuary legatarie named in the above written last Will and Testament nuncupative of Christopher Wood late of Collumpton in the countie of Devon deceased to administer the good chattells and debts of the said deceased according to the tenor and effect of the deceased’s will because that thesaid deceased hath not named anie executor therein she being first legally sworne by virtue of a commission truly and faythfully to administer
